When a client comes to us needing a website, one of the first things we discuss is: do we build from scratch, or use a template? The answer isn't black and white. It depends on what you're trying to achieve.
The case for templates
If you're just starting out and need a quick, affordable presence online, a template is a perfectly reasonable choice. A blog, a simple portfolio, a placeholder site — these can all be done on a template without apology.
The case for custom
A custom website is designed and built exclusively for you. Every decision — layout, typography, animations, structure — is made with your customers and your business goals in mind. Nothing unnecessary, nothing missing. It's also typically faster, more secure, and better optimised for SEO.
